Service 6, Eagle River 1

Senior Muharem Selimi netted a hat trick on his 18th birthday to lead Service past visiting Eagle River 6-1 in Cook Inlet Conference boys soccer action Saturday.

The Cougars, who led 1-0 at the half, racked up five second-half goals.

South 10, Hutchison 0

South cruised to a 10-0 win over non-conference Hutchison on Saturday.

Captain Wesley Chien opened the game up with two goals and two assists in the first 15 minutes of the match. Liam Farell also scored twice for the Wolverines, who got a pair of assists from freshman Talon Stanley.

South keeper David Reyes earned the shutout.

Dimond 4, Bartlett 1

Dimond defeated Bartlett 4-1 on Saturday. Colin O'Hare, Cory Schneider, Micah Rickard and Trask Shamburg scored for the Lynx. Cole Fox, Tristan Heil and Cedarian Brunelle recorded assists for Dimond.

Chugiak 3, West Valley 0

Chugiak blanked visiting West Valley 3-0 in a non-conference match Saturday at Tom Huffer Sr. Stadium.

Holly Brehmer put Chugiak up 1-0 with a goal 20 minutes into the match on a feed from Vanessa Aniteye. The Mustangs added back-to-back goals in the second half to seal the victory.

Karlie Jones scored 14 minutes into the second half on a pass from Chelsea Krueger, and Alexis Day found the back of the net three minutes later.

South nets 2 wins

Keely Jelinek and Megan Currier scored goals for South in the Wolverines' 2-0 win over non-conference Hutchison on Saturday.

On Thursday, South rolled past non-conference West Valley 7-1. Sophie Gross netted two goals for the Wolverines. Keely Jelinek, Erin Stuart, Megan Currier, Sofia Velez and Natalia Cole also scored for South.
