Zoe Hickel of Anchorage will be one of two captains for the Minnesota-Duluth women's team next season, when she'll be a senior forward, the school announced recently.

Hickel, 21, last season as an assistant captain finished second on the Bulldogs in goals and third in points with 13-14--27 totals and +5 rating in 36 games. Her 141 shots led the team, and she tied for the team lead in power-play goals (5) and short-handed goals (2).

In 102 career games, Hickel owns 27-34--61 totals for the Bulldogs, who also include forward Bailey Wright of Anchorage.

Also captaining the Bulldogs will be senior defenseman Emma Stauber, the first Duluth native to get a "C'' with the UMD women.
