UAA women's hoops signs 6-foot-1 Arizona forward

UAA women's basketball coach Ryan McCarthy on Tuesday announced the Seawolves have signed a 6-foot-1 junior college All-American forward for next season.

Megan Mullins will join the Seawolves in the fall, with two seasons of eligibility, after averaging 20.7 points per game and nine rebounds for South Mountain Community College in Phoenix. Mullins made 58 percent of her shots.

"I have extremely high expectations for Megan during the next two years,'' McCarthy said in a news release. "She will provide some scoring punch on the block and will absolutely thrive with the pace we play.''

Mullins is the fourth player in UAA's recruiting class, joining 6-0 forward Leah Bonner of Nampa, Idaho, and 5-4 point guard Jerica Nelson and 6-1 post player Hannah Wandersee, both from Kodiak.
