Aces update: Roy to start tonight, Sivak questionable

Doyle Woody,Adn Staff

As expected, Alaska Aces coach Rob Murray this morning said goaltender Olivier Roy will start Game 2 of the ECHL's Western Conference semifinals Friday night against the Idaho Steelheads at Sullivan Arena.

Murray has rotated Gerald Coleman, who made 26 saves, many of them top-notch, in Idaho's 1-0 OT win in Thursday's opener, and Roy early in these playoffs.

On another front, Aces All-ECHL winger Peter Sivak missed some shifts in the second period of Game 1 with an undisclosed injury, but returned and played the rest of the match. Murray this morning was unsure if Sivak would play tonight and indicated the winger is day to day (in the words of All-Galaxy baseball announcer Vin Scully: "Aren't we all?'').
