Prep baseball: South's Jensen throws no-hitter

Nick Jensen threw a five-inning, no-hitter to lead South past Chugiak 10-0 in Cook Inlet Conference baseball action Tuesday at Mulcahy Stadium.

The Wolverines scored two runs in the first inning and racked up seven in the second to take a commanding lead. Alec Valdez smacked a two-run home run for South.

Dimond 8, Service 3

Kyle Bremont had two hits, drove in three runs and scored once to help Dimond baseball defeat Service 8-3 on Tuesday at Bartlett.

Lucas Thorp had a pair of hits, including a double, two runs and an RBI for the Lynx, who got a double, an RBI, a run and stolen base from Preston Micheletto.

Lucas LaPointe and Raleigh Pigg led Service with two hits apiece.

Eagle River 3, Bartlett 0

Eagle River's Peter Kott fanned 11 and gave up just three hits through six innings to help the visiting Wolves blank Bartlett 3-0 on Monday.

Cameron Fabacher went 2 for 3 with a triple and scored twice for Eagle River, which got another triple from R.J. Dirscherl. Michael Rosenberg, Collin Metzel, Lauren Frost and Kott also recorded hits for the Wolves.

Logan Williams pitched all seven innings for Bartlett, striking out 10.

West 9, East 5

L.J. Felix went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs to help West to a 9-5 CIC win over East on Monday at Mulcahy.

Service 10, Bartlett 0

Josh Fetko threw a two-hitter and struck out eight to lead Service to a 10-0 win over Bartlett on Saturday at Mulcahy Stadium.

Fetko also went 2 for 3 and drove in three runs for the Cougars, who got a pair of hits and two RBIs from Tristen Woods.

Seth Hinson (1 for 2) and Logan Williams (1 for 3) had Bartlett's only hits.
