Apparently, the Las Vegas Wranglers still don't have a rink

Unable to extend their lease at Orleans Arena, their longtime home, the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers earlier this year announced they would construct an outdoor rink at the Plaza Hotel & Casino and play their next season.

But KTNV in Vegas today reported the Plaza said it has been informed by the Wranglers that building the rink would cost too much.

So, basically, the Wranglers are a hockey team without a rink, and that's, as you might imagine, problematic.

For what it's worth, the Alaska Aces played the last Wranglers game at Orleans, when they eliminated the Wranglers from the first round of the Kelly Cup playoffs last month.
