The Fairbanks Ice Dogs won their second NAHL Robertson Cup championship in four seasons Saturday night with a 6-2 victory over the visiting Austin Bruins that earned the Ice Dogs a sweep of the best-of-3 series.
Fairbanks was the circuit's top team in the regular season too.
The Ice Dogs received two goals each from Colton Wolter and Viktor Liljegren, a goal and two helpers from Jacob Hetz and a goal from Duggie Lagrone. Fairbanks scored four unanswered goals in the second and third periods to prosper.
Kevin Aldridge stopped 19 shots for Fairbanks.
