Early Morning Bird Walks, 6:30-8:30 a.m., BLM Campbell Creek Science Center, 5600 Science Center Drive. Develop and fine-tune your birding skills and witness the progression of songbird migration through the Campbell Tract this spring. Join BLM staff and Anchorage Audubon Society members for a series of early morning outdoor bird walks in May. Meet in the Science Center parking lot. Flow Projections for Alaska's Rivers This Summer and Yachting in South Central, 7-9 p.m., Loussac Library, Wilda Marston Theatre, 3600 Denali St. Angela Coleman (Forest Service hydrologist), Daniel Fisher (Natural Resources Conservation Service's main hydrologist and data collection officer for snowpack for the Alaska), and Scott Lindsey in absentia (Alaska River Forecast Center) will talk about the snow pack results for this lean winter and how it will affect flow volume in various river drainages in Alaska. Get Golf Ready, 2:30-4 p.m., Moose Run Golf Course, Arctic Valley Road. The five-week series is designed to teach individuals the basic skills they need to play golf in just five lessons. Each of the weekly classes will focus on the various golf skills individuals use while playing. Flotilla 33, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary meeting, 7 p.m., UAA Chugiak-Eagle River College Center. The meeting is in Room 238 and is open to the public. Coast Guard Auxiliarists are volunteers who assist the Coast Guard in all of its varied missions except law enforcement. The Auxiliary's more than 40,000 members can be found on the nation's waterways, in classrooms and on the dock, performing safety patrols, vessel safety checks and public education, donating millions of hours annually in support of Coast Guard missions.
