Alec Valdez struck out nine, including the first seven batters, to lead visiting South past Bartlett 10-0 in a Cook Inlet Conference baseball game Tuesday.
Valdez and Spencer Floyd both went 2 for 3 for South.
Eagle River 24, West 8
Eagle River rallied from a 7-0, first-inning deficit to cruise past West 24-8 on Tuesday at Mulcahy Stadium.
Guido Gerali was the winning pitcher and help his cause with three hits. Lauren Frost had a pair of hits and scored three runs and Cory Lestochi scored four times for the Wolves, who improved to 3-2 in the conference and 3-3 overall.
West fell to 4-1 CIC, 5-1 overall.
