Yupik is the most most common language in Alaska besides English, says Census Bureau

A new map of the nation from Slate says Yupik is the most commonly spoken language in Alaska, besides English. The map, which uses data from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, shows Spanish, French and Tagalog are also common in the U.S.

When Slate narrowed it down to the most common Scandinavian languages in all 50 states Norwegian was the most common spoken in the Last Frontier.
