Prep softball roundup: Wednesday's scores

West wins two

West's softball team eked out a 5-4 win over Chugiak and downed Eagle River 22-0 in Cook Inlet Conference action Wednesday.

The Eagles and Mustangs combined for just five hits. Chugiak's Katy Bakker was the game's lone player with two hits. She also threw a two-hitter over six innings.

West's Lauren Syrup struck out five and surrendered three hits to earn the win.

Lesley Bingham pitched a two-hitter through three innings against Eagle River.

East 15, Bartlett 0

Taria Page drilled two home runs and drove in five runs in East's 15-0 win over Bartlett on Wednesday.

Sierra Rosenzweig went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and provided a walkoff single to invoke the mercy rule in the third inning.

Sydney Smith fanned four and gave up two hits for the win.

Bartlett also played Dimond on Wednesday, with the Lynx earning a 10-3 win in five innings.

Tara Thompson had a home run, a double and four RBIs for Dimond. The Lynx had five players hit doubles, including two from Joley Hodgson.

Katie Hanson struck out 10 to earn the win.
