R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. is pleased to announce the addition of three staff members to our Anchorage office team:
Justin Rich, GISP joined R&M in March 2014 as a GIS Specialist in our GIS Group. Justin has five years of experience in GIS, including analyzing and interpreting remote sensing imagery and vector data; developing algorithms for running spatial analysis; creating spatial databases; and processing GPS data. He spent the last three years as a Research Technician at the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Since joining R&M, he has been involved with materials site inventory for the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities and the Alaska Stand-Alone Pipeline Material Program: Prudhoe Bay to Cook Inlet. Justin has a M.S. in Geology from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York and a B.S. in Geosciences from the University of Southern Maine.
Chris Fell, LG joined R&M in April 2014 as a Senior Geologist in our Earth Sciences Department. Chris has 10 years of experience performing environmental and geotechnical services for private and public clients. He has extensive field experience conducting environmental, geotechnical and CERCLA investigations; developing GIS models; and cataloging excavation, sampling and analytical data to assist in remedial projects. Since joining R&M, he has been involved in the Alaska Stand-Alone Pipeline Material Program: Prudhoe Bay to Cook Inlet. Chris has a B.S. in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Josh Phares joined R&M in April 2014 as an IT Systems Administrator. At R&M, Josh is responsible for hardware and software configuration, troubleshooting, updates and upgrades, end user support and other IT tasks. He has 15 years of experience in IT and has a strong background in user support, driving upgrade projects and instituting process improvements. Josh is knowledgeable in Macintosh OS X; Windows XP and 7; Citrix Secure Access Client (VPN); Norton and Symantec AntiVirus; Inter-tel Phone System; Heat and BOSS Work Ticketing System; Web Design Usability Testing; and Enterprise Imaging Software. Josh has an A.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix.
