The motorcyclist who died after a collision on East Dowling Road on Thursday morning has been identified by police as Justin Hillen, 32, of Anchorage.
Hillen was critically injured when his motorcycle collided with a dump truck pulling a trailer, which police said was turning left onto Dowling from Petersburg Street. He was taken to the hospital and declared dead about an hour after the crash. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured.
Hillen was wearing a helmet, police said.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash, and no citations or charges have yet been issued, APD spokeswoman Dani Myren wrote in a statement.
