Hazen's a hero: Cincy headed to Kelly Cup

Jonathan Hazen, overtime hero, struck again tonight -- the Cincinnati Cyclone scored short-handed at 13:17 of sudden death to give his club a 3-2 win over visiting Greenville and a berth in the ECHL's Kelly Cup Finals.

That's Hazen's third OT strike of the postseason and second in the series -- he also closed a 5-4 win in Game 3. In the previous round, he scored an OT winner against Fort Wayne.

Cincy, which beat Greenville 4-2 in the best-of-7 Eastern Conference Finals, won the Kelly Cup in 2010 and 2008.

Greenville forced extra time when Andrew Yogan scored an extra-attacker goal with 56 seconds left in regulation.

The Cyclones will play the winner of the Alaska Aces-Bakersfield Condors series. The Aces lead the Condors 3-2 in the best-of-7 entering Game 6, which drops in about 25 minutes.
