Anchorage drag racer sets track record

Anchorage drag racer Jay Childs tore up the Alaska Raceway Park track during the Memorial Day holiday.

Three times in two days of racing, Childs broke the track's quarter-mile record for alcohol funny cars.

On Sunday, he set the record with a run of 6.12 seconds. On Monday, he broke his record twice -- first clocking a 6.09 and then a 6.04.

Anchorage racer Duane Dennis of Anchorage took the title of "True King of the Street" with his '67 Chevy Camaro 406.
