Alaska Aces

The first-seeded Alaska Aces will face fourth-seeded Cincinnati Cyclones in the Kelly Cup Final, beginning the round with game one on Friday, May 30, at Sullivan Arena, opening a best-of-seven series. The Aces last won the Kelly Cup in 2011, defeating the Kalamazoo Wings. 2014 Spenard Beerfest

Alaskans know good beer, and summer's as good a time as any to test your palate. This year's Spenard Beerfest will feature over 50 beers from Alaska and national breweries, plus a wine connoisseur corner. Included in the ticket price are free samples from local food trucks. Tickets are $35 in advance; that includes 35 beer and wine samples, a commemorative sampling glass and six food samples. Festival of Flowers

Festival of Flowers is an event that helps fund the planting of flower beds downtown. There will be live music, a VIP wine tasting, a wine garden, a photo booth, an art fair, master gardeners, garden tours and a gardening sale.
