Troopers: Two injured in Glenn Hwy. crash near Sheep Mountain

Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries after a single-vehicle crash on the Glenn Highway near Sheep Mountain on Tuesday, said Alaska State Troopers.

A witness called 911 around 4:15 p.m. reporting a vehicle off of the highway at Mile 116, about 70 miles southwest of Glennallen. The witness said two people were ejected from the car, a Subaru Legacy, said Megan Peters, troopers spokeswoman.

A trooper based in Glennallen arrived on the scene about an hour later. Medics also responded. One person was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and the other was flown to the hospital, Peters said.

She did not immediately know the extent of their injuries or details on the circumstances of the crash.
