Letter: Aces lose fans because of parking

Terry Parks and the owners of the Aces as well as lots of fans wonder why the playoff games aren't selling out. I can give you at least one big reason — parking, or rather the lack of parking.

If there is anything going on at the football or baseball fields or Ben Boeke, Aces fans get turned away if they don't arrive 45 minutes to an hour before game time. People have arrived 15-20 minutes before the game only to be told there is no parking. The casual fan is not going to park blocks away and walk.

It's a shame this city cannot provide enough parking at the venues we have here but yet charge $6-$7 to park in a poorly maintained lot. In winter, it's never plowed and the scheduling of the various venues leaves much to be desired.
