ECHL update: Anchorage's Jackson receives officiating award

Doyle Woody,Adn Staff

Anchorage's Travis Jackson, who serves as a linesman for Alaska Aces home games in the ECHL, today received that league's highest award for officiating when he was announced as the 2014 winner of the Ryan Birmingham Memorial Award.

Congrats to Travis, who also works college games in the WCHA, and, really, games damn near anywhere the puck is dropped in our corner of the world, and who The Blog often spies through the coffee stand near Sullivan Arena, idled on the other side of the hut, as we both grab some caffeine before heading to the rink.
