A man who had almost all of his clothes stolen during a robbery survived the incident with only minor injuries, according to Alaska State Troopers.
The man, who was not identified, was found standing at the end of East End Road after Anchor Point-based troopers responded to reports of a robbery at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday. According to the trooper dispatch, the man was found standing in the road wearing only his boxers.
The man told troopers that he had been riding his ATV in the area when a silver Toyota single cab pickup truck with a "beat up" camper shell ran the man off the road, down a steep embankment and into the ditch.
After the victim was run off the road, the occupants of the Toyota, wearing masks that partially covered their faces, stopped and exited the vehicle. The two men held the victim down, beat him and took his personal items, including his clothes.
Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said the victim did not know the assailants.
"This certainly isn't something we see happen every single day in that area," Peters said.
Troopers said Thursday they had no other details of the pickup truck. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Anchor Point troopers at (907) 235-8239.
