FBI assists in search for missing Kenai family

Kenai police say they are getting help from the FBI in the search for a Kenai family with two young children missing for more than a week.

Brandon Jividen, 37, Rebecca Adams, 22, and her children Michelle Hundley, 5, and Jaracca Hundley, 3, haven't been seen since May 27, according to posters distributed by a Facebook group, Seeking Alaska's Missing.

Police "don't know what may have happened to the family or where they are," but are getting help from the FBI and search agencies, said Lt. David Ross of the Kenai Police Department in a news release Sunday.

Ross wrote that several FBI agents are "on the ground in Kenai" helping with what he called a "very detailed investigation."

"We have also enlisted the help of Alaska Search and Rescue Dogs, the Mat-Su Search and Rescue Dogs, and the Alaska State Troopers' helicopter," Ross wrote.

Police have asked anyone who lives in the areas of Wildwood Drive, California Street, First Street or Second Street in Kenai and may have seen suspicious activity in recent weeks to call police at 907-283-7879.
