Single-vehicle crash south of Wasilla injures 2

Two Wasilla men were seriously injured -- and one airlifted to an Anchorage hospital -- after a single-vehicle crash on Knik Goose Bay Road Sunday night, according to Alaska State Trooper reports.

Troopers said 39-year-old Kurt Jarmer, of Wasilla, lost control while negotiating a curve at about Mile 11.8 of Knik Goose Bay Road, entering a ditch and hitting a raised driveway, which caused the vehicle to roll several times. Jarmer was flow to Anchorage to be treated for what troopers said were serious injuries.

A passenger, 47-year-old Gary Brown, of Wasilla, initially refused medical treatment, be later relented and was take to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, troopers said.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing and troopers say they suspect alcohol to be a factor.
