Dogs brought in to help search for missing Kenai family

Little new information was available Wednesday regarding the search for missing Kenai family Rebecca Adams, her two small children, and boyfriend Brandon Jividen, all of whom went missing in late May, the Kenai Police Department said during a press briefing Wednesday afternoon.

Police Chief Gus Sandahl said that the department was continuing "thorough ground search operations" for the family, and thanked volunteers for their search efforts. The FBI had arranged for an Outside canine scent detection team to come to Alaska to assist in the search, Sandahl said. He asked that community members refrain from searching trails and wooded areas near the family's northwest Kenai apartment from Friday, June 13, through Monday, June 16.
