Deal to Gustavus Adolphus; Grant to Denmark

Just a couple of quick notes before The Blog gets back to doing nothing -- at least mostly doing nothing that resembles work.

Anchorage forward Conor Deal has committed to Division III Gustavus Adolphus, so he's college-bound. Deal last season for the NAHL's Kenai River Brown Bears put up 8-12--20 totals in 54 games.

Also, former UAA winger Tommy Grant is headed across the pond to play for Aalborg in Denmark. Grant for the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads this past season went 23-27--50 in 64 games. A note on the Alaska-connection front -- the leading scorer in Denmark last season, for Aalborg, was former Alaska Aces pivot Alex Leavitt, who dropped 22-39--61 totals on that circuit in just 32 games.
