Troopers locate missing Soldotna woman

Update, Sunday, 4:18 p.m.: Alaska State Troopers reported that Amanda Guillemette had been located and confirmed to be OK. The missing persons bulletin for Guillemette was canceled.

Original story: Alaska State Troopers are searching for a 35-year-old Soldotna woman who was reported missing earlier this week.

Amanda May Guillemette failed to show up for work on Monday, and her family has not heard from her since, Beth Ipsen, an trooper spokeswoman, wrote in an email. She was reported missing on Tuesday.

Guillemette was believed to be driving a red or maroon 2003 Pontiac Aztec with a license plate of ELJ231. She was described as 5-feet-2-inches and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. It's unknown what she was wearing last.

Her case does not appear to be connected to the disappearance of a Kenai family of four in late May, Ipsen said.

Troopers ask anyone with information about Guillemette's whereabouts to call Soldotna troopers at 262-4453.
