Chester Pak was the hero in both games for the Pilots, who swept a doubleheader over the Chinooks with narrow wins -- 3-2 and 4-2 in Chugiak.

In the first seven-inning game, Pak scored the game-winning run in the sixth inning on an error. Two of their three runs came via errors for the Pilots, who managed just three hits.

In the second game, Pak hit an RBI triple to break a 2-2 tie then added an insurance run when he scored on an error in the top of the seventh inning.

Game 2 was also a low-hitting affair -- Anchorage had five hits and Chugiak, which committed five errors, had four total hits.

Panners sweep Waves

Fairbanks swept both seven-inning games of a doubleheader against the visiting San Diego team 8-3 then 7-5.

In the first game, Cody Nulph went 3 for 3 with three RBIs for the Panners while starter Jace Puckett struck out six and allowed four hits and one walk in five innings.

In the second game, Jacob Hayes had two hits and three RBIs for Fairbanks, which got three hits from Brandon Caruso.

Bucs 9, Oilers 6

The Bucs responded from an early three-run deficit to earn a 9-6 victory over Kenai at Mulcahy.

Dylan Butler went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs for the Bucs, who used six pitchers.
