The Pilots got the win in Game 1 despite managing just three hits. J.J. Wagner smacked an RBI double in the fifth inning for the game's lone run.

Mat-Su starter Jonathan Reid fanned nine in 4 2/3 innings.

Terence Connelly hit a walk-off RBI double in the seventh inning to lift Mat-Su to victory in the second game.

The Miners used four pitchers to hold the Pilots to just two hits -- both of them were home runs. Nikko Saenz and Clayton Taylor both went yard in the second inning to put the Pilots ahead 3-1.

Mat-Su scored two in the sixth to tie the game 3-3.

Oilers 9, Chinooks 7

Despite scoring six runs in the ninth inning, Chugiak's comeback bid came up short as the Chinooks lost their seventh straight game, falling 9-7 to the Oilers in Kenai.

Jake Sandlin had two hits and three RBIs for the Oilers.

Josh Altman went 4 for 5 and was one of four Chinooks with multiple hits.
