Update, Sunday: Police have identified the bicyclist killed in a hit-and-run collision in South Anchorage Saturday as Jeffery Dusenbury, 51, of Anchorage.

A 51-year-old bicyclist died and a teenage girl was in police custody after what police described as a hit-and-run collision Saturday morning in South Anchorage.
Witnesses called police at 10:17 a.m. reporting that a bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle that then left the scene.
An initial police investigation found that a bicyclist and a black Chevy pickup were both traveling eastbound on 84th Avenue near Spruce Street, Anchorage police spokesperson Anita Shell said. Then the driver of the pickup, a 17-year-old girl, realized she had gone the wrong way, and backed up the truck, Shell said.
"That's when she struck him," Shell said.
The bicyclist, a man, was taken to a local hospital, where he died within an hour of being hit, Shell said. His identity had not been released as of Saturday evening.
Officers tracked down the truck and the teenage driver a few blocks from the scene, Shell said.
Shell said charges are pending against the girl, who she said will not be identified because she is a minor. Shell would not confirm the exact charges but noted that the girl left the scene of an accident and failed to render aid.
