Two more Alaska connections on the move, both headed abroad

A couple more Alaska connections are headed across the pond -- well, former UAA skater Alex Gellert played there as a rookie last season and is headed back, and former Alaska Aces pivot Mathew Sisca is headed to Europe as well.

Gellert, who at UAA played center, wing and even some defense, has dual citizenship -- his old man was a big deal in Italian hockey back in the day -- and last season played for Milano, earning 14-17--31 totals in 41 games. He will play the upcoming season for Cortina in Italy.

Meanwhile, Sisca, who was shelved deep into the regular season last go-round -- if memory serves, a hip was an issue, and he's only 23 -- will play for HC Bolzano, according to eliteprospects.com

Bolzano will play in the Austrian league. Sisca, who the Aces acquired from Orlando, is 45 games for Alaska earned 13-19--32 totals. He's entering his fourth year as a pro.
