A couple of Jordans -- Kremyr, Kwas -- on the move

News in on the Jordan(s) front -- a couple of Alaska-connected cats with that first name have determined where they will play in the upcoming season.

Jordan Kremyr, who played wing and center for the Alaska Aces for the last three seasons, has signed with the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors. Kremyr was an alternate captain for the Aces last season, when he finally got his long-desired AHL call-up and played 16 games with the Abbotsford Heat. Kremyr, 28, earned 10-4--14 totals in 36 games for the Aces last season and had one goal for the Heat.

Also, former UAA winger Jordan Kwas has signed with the ECHL's Colorado Eagles to start his pro career. Kwas, 25, as a senior at UAA enjoyed a career season, delivering 13-19--32 totals in 38 games -- each of those stats was a single-season career high.

Kwas won't be bored in Colorado's system -- the Eagles love to push the pace and make plays, and while that doesn't exactly make them a prototypical team for postseason prosperity, they are a blast to watch.

One last piece of news: Tage Thompson, the son of former Aces bench boss Brent Thompson, has committed to UConn, beginning in 2016-17, according to overtheboards.net

Thompson, who will play for the U-18 team in USA Hockey's National Team Development Program this season, last season for the P.A.L. Junior Islanders U-16 team racked 17-14--31 totals in just 16 games.
