A former college gymnast will join the coaching staff at UAA this season.
Alyssa Straub is a recent graduate of Rutgers University, where she competed in gymnastics for four seasons. As a senior, she helped the Scarlet Knights to a berth in the NCAA Division I regional championships and as a sophomore she was a second-team All-East Atlantic pick in the all-around.
Straub, the winner of the 2009 junior national vaulting championship, will join head coach Paul Stoklos and assistant coach Tami Monette on the UAA staff.
