Good turnout for orienteering meet

A total of 65 participants turned out for the Kathy and Joyce's Fun-O orienteering meet Wednesday under sunny skies at the Elmore ballfields. None of the expert competitors were able to complete the course in the allotted time, but Bill and Nowelle Spencer completed the orange course in 1 hour, 10 minutes, 39 seconds to earn first place among teams at that distance. Karen Bronga was the fastest individual on the orange course in 1:15:15. Linda Smith won the yellow course in 41:23 and Molly Eastman notched the fastest time on the white course in 28 minutes.
