Dimond flaggers remain undefeated

Dimond's flag football team ran its winning streak to 42 straight games with a 27-0 Cook Inlet Conference win over West on Tuesday night at Dimond Alumni Field.

Tiffany Jackson led the Lynx with 14 carries for 137 yards and two touchdowns. She also had six pulls and an interception on defense. Neno Martinez and Shameah Keisla-Jones each added rushing touchdowns for Dimond, which improved to 8-0. Martinez also had an interception, her seventh of the season.

Bella Hanson had 10 pulls and Sarah Peters added eight to lead the West defense.

Service 26, Eagle River 7

Julia Miknich threw four touchdown passes to lead Service to a 26-7 win over Eagle River on Tuesday night at Service. Miknich threw two TD passes to Haleigh Van Allen and one each to Kyla Pearce and Kerianne Hansen.

Lahronda Daniels and Lauren Cudihy led the Service defense in pulls and Keaira Caldarera had an interception for the second game in a row for the Cougars, who improved to 7-1 in the CIC.

South 34, Chugiak 0

Sabrina Ungaro ran for two touchdowns and scored another on an interception return to lead South to a 34-0 win over Chugiak on Tuesday night at Anchorage Football Stadium. Callie Orizotti and McKenzie Smith each scored rushing touchdowns for the Wolverines.
