Dimond wins CIC tennis title

Dimond won its first Cook Inlet Conference tennis regular season championship in over a decade by defeating West 5-4 to win the CIC regular season tournament Saturday at the Alaska Club East.

Dimond beat Service 5-4 in the semifinals, while West beat South 6-3 to reach the final match.

Dimond got wins from Derek Stone, Mampei Fujimoto and the doubles teams of Noah Alexander and Jaden Hodgson, Kyle Stone and Jack Sedor and Cole Fox and Caroline Requa. West got singles wins from Ava Lekander and Elana Fortson and the doubles wins from Katie Brown and Alli Haynes and Nasim Falconer and Savannah Paull.
