Cirque du Soleil announces 'Dralion' performance in Anchorage

Circus juggernaut Cirque Du Soleil will bring its touring production Dralion to the Sullivan Arena for seven performances Jan. 14-18.

Cirque du Soleil is known for its elaborate productions and conceptual take on circus performance arts. The theme of Dralion is an East-meets-West fusion that incorporates Chinese acrobatic arts. (The show's name is a combination of "dragon" and "lion," to represent East and West, respectively.) "In the world of Dralion, cultures blend, Man and Nature are one, and balance is achieved," reads a press release.

Dralion has toured for the past 15 years and, according to the release, Anchorage will be the last stop for the production.

Tickets will start at $40 at ticketmaster.com, or at the Sullivan Arena box office.
