Dimond and Service remain tied atop flag football standings

Dimond 32, Chugiak 0

Tiffany Jackson scored four touchdowns to lead Dimond to a 32-0 flag football win Tuesday night over Chugiak at a chilly Dimond Alumni Field.

Jackson ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns on offense and had two interceptions on defense – one of which she returned for a score. Mia Wilson also had an interception for the Lynx. The temperature at the end of the game was about 45 degrees.

Taelor Hawley added a rushing touchdown for Dimond (11-1), which kept pace with Service for first place in the CIC.

Chugiak fell to 2-10.

Service 35, Bartlett 6

Five different Service players scored touchdowns in the Cougars' 35-6 flag football rout of Bartlett on Tuesday night at Service.

Tavie Parker and Julia Miknich each ran for touchdowns to lead the Service attack, which also got touchdown receptions from Haleigh Van Allen, Zoe Bailey and Carolyn Kinzie – all thrown by Miknich.

Service improved to 11-1 while Bartlett fell to 6-6.

East 19, West 0

East opened its Cook Inlet Conference flag football contest with West in style, getting a Sierra Rosenzweig kickoff return for a touchdown on the first play and cruising to a 19-0 win.

Alexis Joubert and Ana Silao also scored touchdowns for East, which improved to 9-3 in the CIC. West fell to 2-10.
