The Fairbanks Ice Dogs wrapped up their display of road mettle Saturday night with a 3-2 shootout win at Wenatchee that gave the defending NHL champs a clean sweep of a five-game roadie -- three games against Coulee Region and two against Wenatchee.

Hans Gorowsky furnished two helpers and a shootout goal for Fairbanks, Ethan Somoza and Jacob Stridsberg notched regulation strikes and Chase Monroe stopped 22 shots.

Fairbanks improved to 10-6-1.

In Soldotna, Jack Gessert had two goals and a helper, and went +3, and Tanner Schachle went 1-2--3 and +4 to spur Kenai River to a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Wilderness.

Alec Derks furnished the Brown Bears 30 saves. Kenai River is 6-8-0 and rebounded from a 6-2 loss to the Wilderness on Friday.
