A woman was taken to the hospital after she was hit by a sport-utility vehicle in Anchorage on Thursday while walking across the street, according to police.
Police have not identified the woman, but say she was crossing Bragaw Street near the intersection of San Jeronimo Drive around 4:50 p.m. when she was struck by a Honda SUV. Initial police reports indicate that the woman was traveling with her family, said Dani Myren, a police spokeswoman.
Myren said the woman suffered non-life-theatening injuries. The crash briefly closed the southbound lanes of Bragaw Street.
