A 27-year-old man was found two days after being reported missing from the Western Alaska community of Stebbins, Alaska State Troopers report.
Stebbins resident Darren Tom was reported missing in the early hours of Sunday, Nov. 9. He had last been seen around 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7. He had reportedly traveled to Saint Michael on Nov. 7 and back to Stebbins the next day on an ATV.
Ground teams searched the Stebbins area, road and winter trails to Saint Michael, troopers write.
At 6 p.m. Sunday, Tom was found by passers-by on a hill in Stebbins. He was flown to Anchorage for treatment of serious injuries.
