UAA freshman forward Leah Bonner earned Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after netting a pair of double-doubles in home wins last week against Chaminade and Holy Names. In the season opener against Holy Names on Nov. 14, the 5-foot-11 freshman from Idaho scored 12 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. The following night, Bonner scored 13 points and grabbed 16 boards against Chaminade.
UAA returns to play for a pair of games Thursday and Friday against Christian Brothers at the Alaska Airlines Center.
