Chugiak picked up a pin and a forfeit in the final two matches of the evening to squeeze out a 42-37 dual wrestling meet win over Dimond on Wednesday night at Dimond.
Blake Johnson's pin of Drew Luiken at 220 pounds was the difference in the match.
The Mustangs also got individual victories from Jared Reed (145 pounds), Jacob Butler (152), Max Ditzler (160) and Colt Jury (170).
Dimond picked up wins by Brenden Rogers (98) Jack Divelbiss (120), Austin Deville (132) and John Pettijohn (195).

Isiah Roderick pinned his opponent in 35 seconds Wednesday to help West claim a 65-21 Cook Inlet Conference victory over Eagle River in a dual wrestling meet at West.
Roderick, who enjoyed the quickest match of the night, was one of four West wrestlers who won with pins.
Eagle River earned five individual victories, three via pin, but the Wolves couldn't overcome forfeits in six matches.
