Dimond hockey team downs Eagle River

Dimond 5, Eagle River 1

Five different players scored for Dimond as the Lynx earned a 5-1 Cook Inlet Conference hockey win over Eagle River on Friday at Ben Boeke Arena.

Tanner Dey, Chance Peters, Kyle Doscher, Cody Dearing and Ryan Perius found the net for Dimond, which got 27 saves from Chris Gardeline. Dearing and Tyler Dunn had assists for Dimond.

Eagle River's lone goal came on a power play strike by Josh Linn off a Ben Rinckey assist in the third period.

Eagle River outshot Dimond 28-23.

Service 8, North Pole 0

Blaine Sharrock and Brad Kuper had two goals each to lift Service to an 8-0 nonconference hockey win over North Pole on Friday in Fairbanks.

GIRLS

Chugiak-Eagle River 5, South-Bartlett 0

Kirsten Watts had a hat trick and Arika Mercer made eight saves as Chugiak-Eagle River picked up a 5-0 CIC girls hockey shutout win over South-Bartlett at the Dempsey Anderson Ice Arena.

Jade Pandres and Daylie Hislop also scored for Chugiak-Eagle River.

Katie Wallow made 27 saves for South-Bartlett.
