Nanooks ditch their 5-game losing streak, win 7-5 at Lake Superior State

The UAF Nanooks unburdened themselves of their five-game losing streak Friday night, coming off a idle weekend with their most explosive game of the season and bagging a 7-5 WCHA win at Lake Superior State.

Marcus Basara furnished two goals and one assist, defenseman Colton Parayko delivered one goal and two helpers, and Nolan Huysmans came through with one goal and one assist.

The Nanooks, who won their first five games and then lost five straight, outshot the Lakers, 36-23.

Junior John Keeney made his first start of the season for UAF, and fortunately for he and his boys received ample goal support.
