Enornous WCHA win tonight for the UAF Nanooks, who racked a 5-4 OT road win at No. 2-ranked Minnesota State-Mankato.
Austin Vieth furnished the dagger off a helper from Tayler Munsen, who had one goal and two helpers against his old Lathrop High teammate, Mavericks junior goaltender Stephon Williams.
Williams entered as one of the nation's hottest goalies, but the Nanooks touched him for five goals on 26 shots.
Davis Jones made 38 saves for the Nanooks and Tyler Morley added two goals.
