Service runs its hockey winning streak to 11 straight

Service 3, West 1

J.V. Baldauf, Blaine Sharrock and Brad Kuper scored goals for Service, which remained undefeated with a 3-1 Cook Inlet Conference hockey win over West on Thursday at Ben Boeke.

Baldauf's goal gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead early in the second, and West's Michael Curran equalized with 12 seconds left in the period.

Sharrock gave the Cougars the lead for good with 4:55 left in the game with an assist from Brandon Vukasin and Kuper gave Service some breathing room less than two minutes later with his strike off a Jacob McVay assist.

Kristofer Mabry made 27 saves for the Cougars, who improved to 11-0.

Jack Walters stopped 23 of 26 shots for West.

Dimond 4, Eagle River 1

Dimond outshot Eagle River 30-17 and got goals from four different players in its 4-1 Cook Inlet Conference hockey win on Thursday night at Ben Boeke.

Chance Peters, Austin Fitzgerald, Ryan Perius and Spencer Penman scored for the Lynx, who got 16 saves from Chris Gardeline and a pair of assists from Tyler Dunn.

Trent Burnham stopped 26 shots for the Wolves.
