UAF women pull away late at Seawolf Hoops Classic

Jordan Wilson scored 26 points to lead UAF to a 75-60 comeback win over Texas A&M Kingsville on Saturday in the Seawolf Hoops Classic at the Alaska Airlines Center.

UAF trailed by three points at halftime, but outscored the Javelinas (0-9) 45-27 in the second half to pull away.

Brianna Kirk had 11 points on 4 of 4 shooting off the bench for UAF, which also got eight points and 11 assists from Benissa Bulaya. Kirk made all three of her 3-point attempts.

Lauren Jay had 17 points to lead Texas A&M Kingsville, which also got 11 points each from Tessa Ramirez and Michelle Wagner and 10 from Micah Weaver.

UAF (8-4) shot 48.5 percent from the floor while holding the Javelinas to 38.8 percent and forcing 25 turnovers.
