Update: Police have identified the woman killed in a Sunday evening vehicle-pedestrian crash in South Anchorage as 59-year-old Delores Greene. They say the crash is still under investigation.

A woman was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian accident on O'Malley Road on the Anchorage Hillside Sunday evening, the Anchorage Police Department reported.
The accident happened at 5:38 p.m. near the intersection of O'Malley Road and Main Tree Drive, police said.
It was unclear Sunday night exactly what had led to the accident. APD spokeswoman Anita Shell initially said police were responding to a report of an "injured person in the roadway."
The woman appeared to be in her 50s, according to the APD. Her next of kin had not been notified as of Sunday night.
Police closed O'Malley Road between Birch Road and Hillside Drive Sunday evening as they investigated the scene. The road was reopened shortly before 10 p.m.
