Wasilla man arrested on multiple charges after fleeing troopers on ATV

A Wasilla man was taken into custody Thursday night after leading Alaska State Troopers on a "short pursuit" on a stolen four wheeler.

According to a trooper dispatch report, Edwin Stoltenberg was spotted by troopers shortly before 11 p.m. at a gas station near the Church Road and Seldon intersection. Stoltenberg had a warrant out for his arrest for violating a domestic violence protection order, troopers wrote.

When Stoltenberg saw troopers, he fled on the four wheeler, troopers wrote, which was later reported stolen.

After the pursuit, troopers tracked Stoltenberg to his residence, where they said he barricaded himself inside and continued to try to reach the petitioner of the domestic violence protective order.

Troopers were finally able to get inside after obtaining a warrant and with the help of a K-9 Unit.

Calls to Alaska State Troopers were not immediately returned Friday morning.
