Troopers: Wasilla resident finds hallucinating stranger inside home

A Wasilla resident returned home early Saturday morning to find a stranger apparently "experiencing drug hallucinations" who was hiding inside their house, the Alaska State Troopers said.

At 2:35 a.m. on Saturday, troopers arrived at a house on Vine Road to investigate a report of an intruder, the AST said in an online dispatch posted Sunday.

"The homeowner arrived home to find a male hiding inside their house," the dispatch said. "The male stated people were out to get him and appeared to be experiencing drug hallucinations."

The man fled, according to the AST.

Troopers tracked prints in the snow to a home off Binnacle Drive, where they allegedly found Vincentarnor Filkins, 26, hiding inside.

Filkins was arrested on trespassing charges and taken to the Mat-Su jail.
