Alaska connections: Trupp, Bailey, Beck

The Alaska Aces still own the ECHL rights to winger Evan Trupp of Anchorage, who last season helped them to the Kelly Cup.

But do not expect to see him on the ice at Sullivan Arena this season -- he's too busy getting things done in the AHL.

Trupp on Friday night furnished the Worcester Sharks with one goal and one assist in a 5-2 win over Norfolk. That gives Trupp 10-17--27 totals and a +7 rating in 49 games.

In that same game, former UAA center Matt Bailey scored a goal to snap his 10-game point drought. The rookie owns 4-3--7 and -6 totals in 33 games.

Meanwhile, former UAF winger Colton Beck scored the only goal in the Idaho Steelheads' 1-0 win at Stockton. He started hot this season as a rookie -- 4-8--12 in his first 10 games -- then fell down the lineup as reinforcements arrived and his play declined. But he's been good lately, going 6-4--10 in his last 13 games to give him 10-20--30 totals and a +2 rating in 47 games.
